How you feel about Honesty depends on how you feel about change and music production values, Curtis Mayfield changed the recording style of his albums as time marched on, but he really never changed his writing. You can't expect it to be 1967 forever.
Honesty is Mayfield in the 1980s, so the keyboards and the drums are locked strictly digital. If you can get past--or like-this, the music is excellent, tropical and reggae, Mayfield top of the line soul, and, I am not kidding, a steel-guitar country track that the master, of course, makes click beautifully.
