5Charming indeed!!!Jun 21, 2002

I bought this cd on the strength of Ms. Adams' singing on the newly reissued recording of "Li'l Abner", and I have not been disappointed! She had a wonderful, easy singing style that is an absolute joy to listen to. Her renditions of such standards as "Why can't I?" and "He was too good to me" are up there with the best that I have heard, and they are complemented by some wonderful new discoveries ("There may be a love" & "If you don't love me" among them). The booklet is informative, and includes some gorgeous vintage photos. My only quibble is with the length of this disc. Playing at just over 25 minutes (and two of the tracks are instrumental numbers!) it does seem rather short. Nevertheless it shows off just what a fine artist Edie Adams was. If you love really beautiful singing and charming arrangements of well- and lesser-known songs, you really can't go wrong with this cd. Now if only more of her recordings would become available.........

5Excellent offering by the (eventual) Mrs. Ernie KovacsMay 30, 2007
By Jack Dempsey
Don't know how many actually remember Edie Adams Kovacs these days, but she was the consummate performer right along next to her late husband (RIP). This is a beautiful little release, as are her others. She had excellent musical tastes and abilities and, incidentally, actually pointed Ernie Kovacs towards much of the music he utilized in his show.
This is simply a cd that can't be missed. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy.
